“I own what I build: scoping with the client, shipping to production, and answering the phone when it matters.”
Danilo Giacinti, full-stack PHP and Laravel engineer

About Me

Hi, I'm Danilo. I'm a full-stack PHP and Laravel engineer. For the last five years I've built and run production e-commerce platforms as the sole engineer, from the first scoping call through to the deploy, and everything that breaks afterwards.

Tech Stack & Tools I Use

  • PHP 8.2
  • Laravel 12
  • MySQL
  • JavaScript
  • Alpine.js
  • Bootstrap
  • Tailwind CSS
  • WooCommerce
  • Docker
  • DigitalOcean
  • Python
  • Git

Product Engineering

Features owned end to end: scoped with the business, built in Laravel and MySQL, tested, deployed, and iterated on with real customer feedback.

Systems & Delivery

Docker for local, DigitalOcean via Laravel Forge for deploys, and custom pipelines where hosting has no SSH. Plus the boring essentials: backups, SSL, DNS, and performance work.

Modernising without downtime

The back end never moves. Only the layer in front of it changes.

Things I've Built

Stargas E-commerce Project Image

Flagship Project

Stargas – Headless LPG E-commerce Platform

A headless Laravel 12 storefront layered over a live WooCommerce backend for a gas-supply business. Dual payment gateways with webhook verification, gas-delivery pricing logic, an automated voucher system, and ~200 ms server responses. Built and run end to end as sole developer, processing the company's online revenue.

Alfa Forni Storefront Project Image

Client Project

Alfa Forni SA – Pizza Oven Storefront

A custom Laravel storefront over WooCommerce for an Italian pizza-oven retailer: fast, fully responsive product catalogue and checkout with ~1.5 s page loads. I also run the brand's digital advertising, owning both the technical and the marketing side.

Future Secured E-commerce Project Image

Client Project

Future Secured – Precious Metals E-commerce

A live WordPress/WooCommerce platform for gold and silver coin trading that I'm actively revamping: redesign, functionality repairs, and ongoing development on a production system serving real customers, plus training the client's team to manage listings independently.

Brooks Gym Project Image

Brooks Gym – Functional Fitness Website

A custom-built fitness website for promoting services, boosting local SEO, and increasing gym memberships. It showcases class offerings, specialist trainers, and contact options, all optimized for performance and mobile responsiveness.

Let’s work together

Hiring a full-stack engineer, or need someone to take ownership of an existing platform? That's what I do. Tell me what you're building and I'll tell you straight whether I'm the right person for it.
